MEETINGS AND CONVENTIONSWorking closely with meeting planers and sports groups, the Meetings and Conventions Department helps to coordinate numerous meetings, citywide conventions and trade shows and sporting events held in the area throughout the year. The CVB is an active member of many key professional associations and promotes the meeting facilities and hotels at trade shows and conventions worldwide.

TOUR & TRAVEL SALESThe Tour & Travel Sales Department works with tour operators, motorcoach operators, travel agents and receptives to increase the volume of leisure travel to the area. The CVB is an active member of many of the travel industry's key organizations and promotes the area at trade shows and conventions worldwide.

SPECIALIZED MARKETSThis division of the CVB handles promoting and developing festivals and events that positively affect both the economy and image of the area. Work in this area of the CVB also includes promotion of the area's many historical and cultural assets as well as connecting with our local tourism industry partners to ensure successful promotion of our many assets.
Additionally this area coordinates Visitors Services that includes the distribution of area tourism industry partner information to our visitors. While in the destination, visitors can receive information and helpful staff assistance at two full-service Visitor Information centers: Daytona International Speedway and Destination Daytona. Destination materials such as the Visitors Guide, Arts Map and partner brochures are also available at the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce, Daytona Beach International Airport, Daytona Regional Chamber and the Ocean Center.
Also as part of the CVB Specialized Markets the department coordinates the marketing efforts of the Select Small Inns of Daytona Beach program designed to promote properties with 99 or less units. Each property must maintain quality assurance criteria designed to ensure guests enjoy quality and modern amenities, comfortable surroundings, cleanliness and personable service.

DAYTONA BEACH AREA FILM OFFICEA division of the CVB, the Film Office facilitates film projects interested in the area and local governments for permitting and location services.

COMMUNICATIONSThe Communications Department strives to create and convey a positive image of the Daytona Beach area. It establishes strong relationships with media representatives worldwide, and works on a local level with Daytona Beach area elected officials, opinion leaders and community members to encourage an appreciation of tourism as an economic generator and image builder. The department also hosts media tours and distributes a variety of media materials.

TECHNOLOGY SERVICESThe Department is responsible for maintaining and marketing all CVB Web sites with an emphasis on the official visitor information Web site at www.daytonabeach.com. It also develops revenue producing programs such as online reservations, advertising banner opportunities, etc., and integrates online initiatives with the CVB's traditional marketing efforts.

ADVERTISINGThe Advertising department oversees the development and production of CVB publications such as the Visitors Guide, Arts Map, seasonal consumer newsletters, Meeting and Convention Planner, Biketoberfest® collaterals, Annual Report, and Marketing Plan. The Department also coordinates advertising schedules and placement with designated contractors and agencies.

INFORMATION SERVICESMany request destination information prior to their arrival. Through the Information Services Department the CVB maintains databases for these specialized promotional initiatives and directly mails all information requested. We also house all destination marketing materials at our Mail Center, located just down the street from the CVB Main office. Information Services also coordinates local lodging partners' availability listings during major event time frames. This assist visitors in finding a place to stay during these high occupancy time frames.
