Share The Heritage & History!
Suggestion: Share the Heritage with the memories of the Daytona Beach area's earliest settlers, African-Americans. Start at the beginning - visit one of the finest African art galleries in the Southeast at the Museum of Arts and Sciences. Learn some of the artistry and history of the African people. Tour the childhood home of Howard Thurman, one of the nation's greatest theological advocates of unity of the human race. Bethune-Cookman University is awe-inspiring and reflects the dedication of its founder, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune. Take time to reflect the accomplishments of this great lady while touring her home and Gravesite. IMANI Services, Inc. can schedule and provide your catering needs on and off campus. After lunch take a ride to nearby DeLand to tour the African-American & Caribbean-American Museum of Art. Marvel at your final stop of the day at the Black Heritage Museum in New Smyrna Beach, housing an extensive collection of more than 70 replicas of African-American inventions.
