The Daytona Beach area has a rich history with events; from our high-impact racing and bike events to our more culture-focused events such as the London Symphony Orchestra performances. Many of our televised sports events include the Daytona International Speedway races as well as NCA Cheerleading Championships and various Central Florida Sports Commission activities.

This wide range of event offerings is unique to our area and creates a great opportunity to develop destination based marketing programs uniquely geared toward specific event interest groups. This targeted event marketing allows the CVB to maximize overnight stays, while positioning the destination as a fun, active location for a wide range of consumers.

Event promotion helps us to establish specific campaigns both online and offline that speak directly to visitors' passion and interests while enabling the collection of vital statistical data on what influences overnight stays.

The Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau has set aside funds for the marketing of events that exhibit positive tourism potential. Funds designated for any events shall assist qualified applicants with event marketing and advertising initiatives that have the ability to show a direct effect on hotel/lodging occupancy during designated time frames, as well as create and document positive image building publicity for the Daytona Beach area.

The Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau shall consider applications for support, provided these procedures are followed and the assigned Tourism Events application is completed and returned in a timely manner.
